Hailing
from Washington state, Debra Ball has resided in South Florida
since 1995. Ball has been a corporate spokesperson for Carnival
Cruise Lines, Federated Department Stores, Saks Fifth Avenue,
Proctor & Gamble, General Motors, Royal Caribbean Cruise
Lines and Alamo/National Rental Car among others. While hosting New
Florida, Ball maintains an active modeling career. Recent
credits include print, broadcast and catalog work for such clients
as Burdines, Visa, Disney, AT&T, George Forman products and
American Color Magazine. Ball also currently co-hosts the Florida
Home Show, a new home series on NBC affiliates for the Treasure
Coast, and Identity on the Women's Entertainment Network.
Debra still manages to find time in her busy schedule to enjoy
some of her favorite pastimes like tennis, kayaking, photography
and traveling.
As an active member of her community, Debra's
philanthropic activities include The Ocean Conservancies
Coastal Cleanup and Hands on Miami, where she
volunteers with the Community Partnership for the Homeless,
the South Miami Community Center, Habitat for
Humanity , and the Ronald McDonald House at
Jackson Memorial Hospital.
This
Miami native has been known to do everything from wrestling alligators in the
Everglades to cliff jumping in Iceland. An avid kayaker, mountain biker and
distance runner, Reno has graced the covers of Vogue, Shape, Mirabella, Mademoiselle and Fitness.
Reno joined New Florida in 1999. Prior to working on New Florida,
she spent a year showcasing the city of Miami on WAMI-TV’s Ocean
Drive with Hunter Reno. For Oxygen Sports, Hunter focused on
the accomplishments of female athletes and while hosting the Travel Channel’s Exotic
Islands, Reno visited some of the World’s most breathtaking destinations.
Hunter also hosted What’s Hot, for New York’s WNYW-TV
and was a correspondent for HBO Entertainment News.
Since joining the New Florida team
Reno has made numerous contributions, including serving as
co-host with historian Paul George for Channel 2’s Miami
Beach Walking Tour. Very active in the South Florida
community, Reno’s philanthropic activities include “Friends
of the Everglades,” the Sierra Club and the “Shake-A-Leg” program
as well as serving on the Board of the Miami Light Project.
