WPBT Channel 2’s corps of volunteers plays a vital role in
the successful operation of the station. Whether they are answering
phones during television membership drives or the Call 2
Auction, assisting with special events or performing key
administrative tasks, volunteers help make the station work. We understand
that everyone has something unique to contribute and we offer a variety
of ways you can assist. Experience is not necessary to volunteer
- just enthusiasm and commitment. Volunteering your time is a great
way to meet new people and have some community spirited fun!

Call 2 Auction Volunteering
The
Call 2 Auction is a fast-paced, exciting live television program
broadcast in April and October each year. This travel and services
auction features exotic trips all over the world, weekend getaways
throughout Florida, spa packages, dining certificates and much, much
more!
Be a part of the front lines as bidders from all over South Florida
and beyond call in their bids. Your duties include light data entry
as you look up bidder’s information, item information and
put in new bids during the auction broadcast.
Training for Auction volunteers is scheduled prior to the Auction
dates. We look forward to having you join the Auction team and
truly be a part of one of the most exciting television events in

Community Event Volunteering
Channel 2 is looking
for volunteers to help set up and manage booths at the local community
events we sponsor. Volunteers assist with set-up, decorations, serving
and greeting for WPBT Channel 2 events. Individuals also help hand
out WPBT Channel 2 information and support the Community Events staff
collecting names, addresses and e-mail information and get the chance
to represent WPBT Channel 2 in the community. Community events are
held throughout the tri-county area. Please contact Carol Richards

On Air Pledge Phone Operator
Approximately four times a year, WPBT Channel 2 conducts pledge
drives as a fundraising effort to generate membership contributions.
During these drives, we need volunteers to be part of the phone
bank. Companies and organizations are encouraged to come in as
a group. Volunteers are trained to take calls from our viewers.
Most pledge drives require volunteers to work evening hours and
weekends. Groups of 6-10 people are needed for each shift. Shift
times and days vary. Call today to book your own time slot - these
