Chef PepínPepin left Cuba in 1960, and without forgetting his roots, he settled down in South Florida where he began working as a chef for a local Marina. Soon after, he opened a distribution center of fast food and sandwiches for local restaurants in the area.

After attending gastronomy school and gaining invaluable knowledge and experience, Chef Pepin discovered that he not only had a vast array and still growing pool of personal recipes, but by combining his incredible sense of humor with the art of cooking, a magic seasoning was created and his new TV career was launched.

Chef Pepin made his debut in television on September 1988 with the Univision family and their number one rated TV program at the time - TV Mujer. His segment soon became number one within in the program. Chef Pepin then participated in other Univision programs such as Hola America and Al Mediodia. He was also featured in such Anglo TV programs as Attitudes and Crook and Chase, among others.

Chef Pepin reaches millions of households daily through varied mediums such as Cadena Caracol's radio segment Hasta el Fin con Pepin, Univision's Despierta America or through La Cocina del Chef Pepin - a program produced by M.G.M Television, which airs daily throughout all Latin America and Europe in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Currently, Chef Pepin is the National Hispanic Spokesperson for "Uncle Ben's" rice, and one of his many obligations and responsibilities is to attend the different activities organized by the firm. Additionally, Chef Pepin cooks for massive events of great relevance such as "La Semana de la Hispanidad" in various cities around the country, as well as "Carnaval Calle 8" in Miami, among many others.

His most recent project has been the publication of a recipe cookbook entitled Cocinando con Chef Pepin, which contains well over 150 recipes of easy elaboration. This first book sold over 50,000 copies and he is currently working on a second volume.

Chef Pepin's multi-faceted career never ends as he successfully combines his time with various promotional campaigns in both local and national television, different charities and benefits, as well as his community and his most beloved family.

Warmth, good-heartedness and kindness are among the many talents that grace Chef Pepin and proof of that are the many letters he receives on a daily basis from every corner of the planet. Without a doubt, Chef Pepin is definitely a solid proof of the pride and flavor of Hispanics, not just in the United States, but in the entire world.
