How is the mailing and/or shipping and handling cost calculated?

For Certificates, we charge $9.00. This amount covers handling and FedEx 3-day shipping. The ship cost of an item is $14.00, which is for UPS shipping plus insurance.

When and at what phone number can I call to place a phone bid?

There will be phone bidding during the Call 2 Auction. To bid by phone, call 305.949.1922 or 800.222.9728.

How do I contact WPBT Channel 2 and/or the Auction?

WPBT Channel 2
c/o Call 2 Auction
P.O. Box. 610002
Miami, FL 33261-0002

Phone: 305.949.1922
Email: info@call2auction.org

If I am the high bidder on an item, can I write off the amount as a charitable contribution (tax deduction)?

You may only use the amount you pay above and beyond the stated donor value as a charitable contribution. For example, if the item is valued at $100 and you ended up paying $120 for it, then your tax deductible contribution would be $20. (Shipping/Handling fees are not tax deductible.)

How do I change the email address associated with my bidder account?

If you know your username and password, in order to log into the auction system, then you can modify this information yourself by clicking here!

If your email address has changed and you don't know your username and password, then you have to contact us by phone at 305.949.1922 during regular business hours (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:00pm) to make the change.

What are the bid increments?

A bid increment is the amount by which the current high bid has to be increased for a new bid to be accepted. All bid increments are $20.

How do I bid online?

Although you may browse the items without registering, if you would like to bid online, you must register as an online bidder. When you register you will be asked for a username. Your username is any name you want it to be (ex. FloridaBidFan) as long as no one else has already chosen that name. Your username will be visible to other bidders. Once you are registered, you will receive an email with a password. You will then be able to login with your username and password, and place bids.

What do I do if I still haven't received my password?

There may be a couple of reasons you haven't received your password. If you have a junk mail filter on your emailbox, you may find your password in your junk mail folder. Another problem could be that you mistyped your email address when registering. If you type in an incorrect email address our system will send the password to that incorrect email address and it will be forever lost in space. If you have tried looking in your junk mail folder and your password isn't there, call our information phones at 305.949.1922 (Miami-Dade) or 800.222.9728 and tell them you think you may have given us a bad email address. Our administrator will call you back to discuss the problem and get you up and running in no time!

What is a Proxy Bid and how do I place one?

A Proxy bid is any bid above the next acceptable bid (get more details by clicking here). To place a Proxy bid, simply enter your proxy amount in the bid form on an item page. Once you've entered the amount of your bid, you then click the Review Your Bid button and you will see exactly what bids are going to be placed for you.
